Victorian Books

While I was at home I was looking on the bookself, I came across these books from the 1800's. they are really beautifully made, with marbled end papers and obviously all the type will have been letterpress so it is really georgeously set. I was thinking of basing the identity for my sister Shona's exhibition on the design of these books, possibly. Its definately one of the ideas I will investigate.

Magazine Covers

Some cool magazine cover design relating to my redesign of ride BMX magazine. These are all really hipster and trendy which I think is a good look for ride but I might try and make it a little bit more palable to a mainstream audience.

Caleb Everitt

I would say that BMX on average has less than its fair share of good design. Probably becauses theres not a lot of money in it and speaking for myself I like to keep BMX as a hobby and design as work and keep the 2 seperate. Anyway I was think of exciting graphic design in the BMX industry and the name that immediatly comes to mind is Caleb Everitt. This is some of his more recent work. I assume he is currently working for PTARMAK, who also have a lot of great work.

A nice promotional poster by studio Makgill. I like the way they have layered the photos on the back.
