Design Context Chapter Introductions

Each chapter of the book has a cover page that introduces its subject matter. Because there wasn't necessarily that much content for these pages they were an opportunity for me to be quite creative.

The 4 images below show an early stage of development for the four introductory pages. They weren't very consistent. They didn't feel that considered or attractive.

After a fair bit of development and consideration the four images below are currently how the introductory pages are looking. They are more considered and consistent. I've tried to use one half of the spread to visually interpret or represent the chapters content, and the other half to explain in words the content and significance of the chapter.
